Meet the Team of Spring 2016
Arsheen Memon is the President of Bauer Women Society. She is currently pursuing a double degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship at C.T. Bauer College of Business. She is on a pre-law track as she aspires to run her own corporate law firm one day. She has been an active member of the Bauer Women Society since Spring 2014.
In the last year, she has completed the Ted Bauer Leadership Certificate, and the Corporate Entrepreneurship Certificate. She has also served as the Team lead Research and Trade Analyst for Finance Association. In the recent semesters, she has interned at Premier International Realty in their finance and appraisal department and Reynolds and Reynolds in their Sales division. She is also the Founder and Director of her own company; where she helps build, develop, and grow new and existing medical facilities. In her free time, Arsheen enjoys volunteering her time to help develop skills like reading and writing in younger kids.
Arsheen loves fashion and believes in depicting one's personality through how they present themselves, apart from shopping in her free time she enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.
One mantra she always keeps in mind is, "If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, and become more you are a leader" (John Quincy Adams). Her goal is to lead people through example and one day be able to help in creating future leaders of tomorrow.
Brenda Zamora is the Vice President of Bauer Women Society. She is a business student at the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston, pursuing a major in Finance-Global Energy Management with a minor in Accounting. She has been an active Bauer Women Society member since Spring 2014 where she participated in the finance directorate. Her active leadership in the organization has allowed her to hold two positions in the organization: Media Director, Fall 2015, and her current role as Vice President Spring 2016.
Currently, she works in the Accounting & Taxation Department at the C.T. Bauer College of Business. This enables her to be exposed to various experienced professionals from which, she absorbs daily knowledge. She is very passionate about women's empowerment and tries to implement change on a daily basis in her society.
Aside from academics, Brenda wants to bring awareness to social, political, economic, and environmental global issues. She has a passion for motivating others to achieve greatness; being uncomfortable in your surroundings is a great way to grow intellectually and emotionally. She holds spiritual values in high regard, which is why she embraces a sincere and open-minded attitude.

Sundas Khan is the Finance Director of Bauer Women Society. She is currently a Senior at the C.T. Bauer College of Business pursuing her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance - Risk Management and Insurance. She has been an active member of Bauer women's society since Spring 2015 when she was a part of the finance directorate.
She currently works for Sightline Health in the Accounting department as an Accounting Clerk/Intern. In her past, she has held various leadership positions and has had the opportunity of competing in a variety of competitions throughout her years in high school.
Sundas has a deep interest in the expanding role of business in today’s health care. In the future after graduation, she plans to attend graduate school to undertake a dual degree in an MHA/MBA program.
She enjoys volunteering her spare time at pet adoption centers and discovering new and fun places to eat!
Nourhan Younis is the Logistics Director of Bauer Women Society. She is an honors business student at C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston, pursuing a degree in Marketing and Human Resource Management (2016). She has been an active member of Bauer Women Society since Fall 2014 when she was also part of the Operations Directorate.
As an international student at the University of Houston, she shows passion and pride in all that she does. She is interested in leadership and management of people and entities as well as event planning. Aside from her involvement in school, she is passionate about giving back to the community through various events and serving many refugee families. In the future, she hopes to own her own catering business.
Nourhan has a deep interest in the expanding role of business in today’s education system. She hopes to apply her academic and professional experience towards the development of her country, Egypt and helping young women to follow their life-long dreams. Her goal is to lead people through example and she hopes to promote the professional development of women in the Middle East.
Maria Fernanda Guerrero
Maria Fernanda Guerrero is the Corporate Director for the Bauer Women Society. She is a sophomore student at the C.T. Bauer College of Business, pursuing a major in Supply Chain Management.
Maria has served as Corporate Relations Director in Fall 2015 for Bauer Women Society. She is a member of the Hispanic Business Student Association at the Bauer College of Business and is also part of the Association of Latino Professionals for America.
She currently works as a peer tutor at Learning Support Services at The University of Houston. Also, she is currently part of the Ted Bauer Leadership Certificate Program and LeaderShape Initiative, a national non-profit organization dedicated to helping young people "to lead with integrity".
Aside from academics, Maria enjoys volunteering and feels passionate about the empowerment of women and minorities. She has volunteered in several events such as the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Latin Women’s Initiative Fashion Show.
She also enjoys dancing, reading, and fashion. She hopes to open her own international business one day. She is enthusiastic and energetic. So feel free to approach to her!
Carmen Julian is the secretary of Bauer Women Society. She is a senior double majoring in Accounting and Spanish. She has been an active member of the Bauer Women Society since the fall of 2015. Carmen used to teach Final Cut Pro X at the UH Student Video Network.
During her free time, Carmen enjoys reading, fiction writing, running, traveling, baking, and learning about different cultures. She is a big fan of Disney, The Twilight Zone, and Game of Thrones. One of Carmen’s goals in life is to someday write and publish a book. (Get her autograph now!!) An interesting fact about Carmen is that she studied Spanish abroad in Heredia, Costa Rica, and Grenada, Spain. Both times she lived with host families that didn’t know any English.
Yvonne Ramirez is the Media Director of Bauer Women Society. She is a Junior at the C.T. Bauer College of Business pursuing a major in Marketing and a Minor in Advertising. She completed her Associate in Business Administration at San Jacinto Community College, then transferred to Bauer College in Spring of 2015. She has been an active member of Bauer Women Society since Fall 2015, where she participated in the media directorate. Her involvement helped open the opportunity to be media director this semester.
Outside of her academic life she has a passion for photography, loves exploring new places in the greater Houston Area, loves her dog Nina, and is an avid coffee drinker (Café Americano) to be exact. She recently started her own YouTube channel in which she vlogs about life and everything in between. She loves being creative and believes in doing something you love every day. Her dream is to one day open her own media studio.
She is very passionate about women's empowerment and is very excited to embark on this journey to help other young ladies build themselves up.
Community Service Director
Xena Ayala is the Community Service Director for Bauer Women Society. She is a freshman pursuing a supply chain management degree at C.T Bauer College of Business. She has been an active member of Bauer Women Society since fall 2015. Xena loves cooking, playing with animals, being outdoors, and giving back to the community. Her dream is to become a fashion buyer for a retail company. She currently works as a Student Program Coordinator at the Undergraduate Programs Office at the Bauer College of Business. Xena is super excited to be the community service director and to be in an organization with such amazing women.
