Team
Kiara Giselle Campos
President
Kiara Campos is the President of Business Women Society. She is a current senior majoring in Management and and has been a member of the Honors College since Spring 2022. She has been an active member of BWS since Fall 2021.
Kiara’s first semester at the University of Houston was the Fall of 2021 where she was taking all asynchronous, online classes. She figured she would at least try to get involved in at least one Bauer organization during her time at UH. She came across BWS on the Bauer website of student organizations, and it was clear that BWS was the organization she wanted to participate. It was right after the first social at Barkley's that she knew she wanted to be more than just a member. Being surrounded by incredibly kind and like-minded women was something Kiara wanted to be a part of!
When not at school or attending/coordinating BWS events, Kiara works as a legal assistant at a Mass Torts law firm and is concurrently finishing her second AAS in Paralegal Technology at Houston Community College.
Ariana Lee
Vice President
Ariana Lee is the Vice President of Business Women Society. She was born in New York but grew up in Houston. She’s a senior in the Honor’s College majoring in Management Information Systems.
Ariana joined BWS in the Spring of 2021 after feeling supported and welcomed by the women she met during Bauer Involvement Week. She states that BWS has really helped her feel plugged in and motivated after her classes moved online due to the pandemic. When she is not studying, she likes to spend time with her puppy, workout, travel, and cook. She got her yoga teacher training certificate last summer as well.
As the Vice President, she wants to accurately reflect the org’s mission in exciting, fun new ways. She hopes to increase member engagement and get more women to join BWS. She wants to empower as many women as possible by creating a supportive, loving environment.
Shaem Siddiqi
Finance Director
Shaem Siddiqi is the Finance Director for Business Women’s Society. She is a junior planning to major in Finance and minor in Marketing. After her undergrad, she plans on pursuing Law School. Shaem joined BWS in Spring 2022, and is excited to serve as an officer this year!
In her free time, she enjoys discovering new coffee shops, baking, watching Netflix, or just spending time with family and friends. A fun fact about her is that she had her own small business back in 2014, where she sold handcrafted jewelry!
As Finance Director this year, Shaem is looking forward to growing her skill set, both personally and professionally. After joining BWS, Shaem found herself as part of a team that encourages one another to grow. Similarly, her goal as an officer is to make BWS a space where every member can find the support necessary to help them succeed in their professional journey, while enjoying the company of an amazing family- the BWS family!
Mariana Pirovolou
Finance Manager
Mariana Pirovolou is the Finance Manger for Business Women’s Society. She is a sophomore planning to major in finance at the C.T. Bauer College of Business and recently joined the Honors College program. She joined BWS in Fall 2021, and looks forward for the upcoming semester!
In her free time, Mariana enjoys cooking, painting, working out, and going on adventures! A fun fact about herself is that she is half Greek and half Colombian, and she lived in Brazil for a few years!
Upon becoming an officer, Mariana looks forward to exercising a leadership role, and collaborating with her team to help further her professional development. Her goals as an officer are to create an inclusive environment so members can feel apart of something, and create connections. Additionally, she would like to encourage as many members as possible to pursue their professional goals!
Yassmeene Dahmani
Operations Director
Yassmeene Dahmani is the current Operations Director for Business Women Society. She is a senior majoring in Human Resources Management and minoring in Marketing. Yassmeene joined BWS in spring 2022.
Yassmeene enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also has a love for spicy food and she’s always willing to go on a fun adventure. A fun fact about her is that she’s Algerian and can speak English, Arabic, and French!
Her goals as the Operations Director this semester are to make great connections with her team and make friends! She also would love to make people feel welcome and included!
Jasmine Hernandez
Logistics Manager
Jasmine Hernandez is the current Logistics Manager for Business Women Society. She is a senior majoring in Management and minoring in Marketing. Jasmine joined BWS in fall of 2021.
During her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping and getting Starbucks/boba. Jasmine loves sitting back with a nice snack while watching tik toks or Netflix/Disney plus.
Her goal as an officer is to create a welcoming environment for new members. She would love to make new friendships with new members and make them feel included. By joining BWS, it has pushed her to be more confident and be able to come out of her comfort zone. She want new members to be able to feel the same way.
Ghia Daswani
Senior Corporate Relations Director
Ghia Daswani is the Senior Corporate Director for Business Women’s Society. She is a junior majoring in Management Information System at the C.T. Bauer College of Business. She joined BWS in Spring 2022, and looks forward for the upcoming semester!
In her free time, Ghia enjoys dancing, playing tennis, baking, and hanging with friends! A fun fact about herself is that she has been dancing since she was 2 years old!
Upon becoming an officer, Ghia looks forward to networking with different companies and building bonds with her officer team. Her goals as an officer are to collaborate with different corporate companies to organize great professional meetings. Additionally, she wants BWS members to have a lot of connections and gain internships or full time offers through the corporate events organized by the corporate relations team.
Pranathi Kothuri
Junior Corporate Relations
Pranathi Kothuri is the Junior Corporate Relations Director for Business Women Society. She is a Sophomore majoring in Management Information Systems and Marketing. Pranathi joined BWS in the Fall of 2021, and is looking forward to serving as an officer!
In her free time, she enjoys dancing, doing makeup/hair, and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys traveling and wants to explore more of Europe. During her time at BWS, she was able to meet very talented and supportive women.
Pranathi's goal as an officer is to help members get the opportunity to learn about different companies and create more opportunities to excel in their careers. Pranathi's main reason for running for an officer position is to create a welcoming and non judgemental space for all members. She hopes this will be a memorable semester while building friendships through the process!
Jazmine Corallo
Member Relations Director
Jazmine Corallo is the Member Relations Director for Business Women Society. She is a sophomore majoring in Finance at the C.T. Bauer College of Business.
Her favorite spot on campus is Cougar Grounds, as she spends most of her time there studying. She also enjoys hanging out with her friends, listening to music, thrifting, and running! Fun fact, she was in Argentina visiting family when they won the World Cup!
As the member relations director, her goal is to organize fun socials while pertaining to the welcoming environment of BWS. She plans to focus on club engagement and the recruitment of new members in hopes of achieving an active semester!
Hannah Mathew
Community Service Director
Hannah Mathew is the Community Service Director for Business Women Society and has been an active member since Fall 2022. She is a sophomore, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration.
She is from Austin, TX but is loving her time in Houston! In her free time, Hannah loves going on hikes, working out, reading and finding new cool spots. Hannah also loves to travel and will be spending this summer abroad doing an internship in New Zealand. She loves to seek adventure in new places and learn cultures in different countries worldwide.
Hannah is very passionate in helping others and giving back to the community. Her goal as an officer this semester is to create opportunities for BWS to give back to the community while empowering women and creating a supportive environment. She is very excited to be the Community Service Director this semester and looks forward to all the events planned for this semester! She looks forward to meeting all of you and having a great time :)
Sima Pangyani
Secretary
Sima Pangyani is the Secretary for Business Women Society and has been an active member since Fall 2022. She is a sophomore majoring in Management Information Systems at C.T. Bauer College of Business.
Sima was born in Nepal but has spent most of her life growing up in Houston. In her free time, she likes to cook new recipes and do arts and crafts. She also enjoys shopping and spending time with family and friends.
As Secretary, Sima wants to welcome members to a positive and encouraging environment. Her goal for this semester is to build connections with members at events and provide great support to everyone at BWS. She also hopes for members to have a fun and memorable experience!
Carolina Hernandez
Media Director
Carolina Hernandez is the Media Director of the Business Women’s Society. She has been an active member of BWS since the Spring of 2022. She is a junior majoring in Supply Chain Management at the C.T. Bauer College of Business.
Carolina is very family oriented and enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is the youngest of five children with a twin brother. In addition, she is fluent in Spanish and English, Spanish being her primary language. She is also currently learning the beautiful language of Urdu. She enjoys watching Netflix, going for walks, and getting boba during her free time. Being an active member of the previous semester’s BWS helped her grow personally and professionally.
Her goal this semester is to help new and current members feel comfortable and welcome. As a Latina woman, she hopes to inspire powerful women to explore all the opportunities BWS offers. She can’t wait to make new memories with new and current members! GO COOGS!
